Rare light blue Maxixie Beryl - SI1 - 2.04ct
Maxixe (pronounced Mah-she-she) is an almost sapphire variety of beryl. It was discovered in 1917 at the Maxixe mine in the Piaui area south of Arassuahy, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Maxixe owes its very unstable color to natural irradiation. The stone should not be exposed to direct sunlight, its color is easily perishable in sunlight! This natural beryl has an exact size of 10,2x7,2x4mm and is faceted in cushion cut. This gemstone originates from Brazil and has a weight of 2.04ct.
