Koroit Matrix Boulder Opal - 10,11ct
Koroit matrix boulder opal interspersed with fine blue and green opal veins. The stone measures approx. 24x13x4mm. The gemstone was mined in Queensland, Australia and has a final weight of 10.11ct. The stone was “carbonized” by me. A process in which the rough stone is placed in a glucose solution and this glucose is then carbonized in a heating process. This gives the stone a dark base. The carbonization is permanent. The item is sold as shown in the picture. Watch the video!
