This stone shows its color splendor best when it is illuminated from "behind", so in the backlight in the dark (Contraluz).
This rough stone is not suitable to be cut, because it keeps its transparency and colorfulness only when wet!
If the opal dries out, cracks appear or breaks into no parts and loses its transparency and color!
The stone is shown in WET condition!
Always keep this stone in the WET condition!
